The Talent Mine is recruiting for an up and coming Windows Sys Admin with good A/V skills for an immediate FTE role in the Puget Sound region. This is with an established client of ours where we've placed folks who have received promotions, and open due to growth It is in the aerospace industry supporting a manufacturing client on all things Windows and related. If you are a growing Windows Sys Admin, or an aspiring Sys Admin from the Sr. IT support ranks, this role is a perfect fit for you

Overview:

You will have the opportunity to plan, maintain, install and work with a variety of windows systems, including basic networking equipment, Active Directory and Exchange support, and fundamental Windows Server support. There is a physical element to the role as well, upgrading conference rooms A/V and phone equipment, and general IT support at a jr. sys admin level. Think of it as a fun variety pack of systems admin work, where no two days are the same

The best suited candidates should have most of following expertise/credentials:

  • 2+ years of equivalent systems administrator experience
  • You like to work in an office setting as this is 100% on site.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, planning and execution of technology infrastructures preferred
  • Experience with a scripting language like SQL, Powershell, etc is highly preferred
  • Experience in Source Code Management Systems is required
  • Experience in change management highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, clients and business partners desired
  • This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation
  • Ability and willingness for 10% travel, which may include international
  • Overall responsibility to maintain and provide trouble shooting support for the following systems: local and wide area networks, ERP application, e-mail, internet access, time and attendance, office automation, backup systems, telecommunication systems, meeting rooms and display boards
  • User administration for applications
  • Ensures computing and network infrastructure environment is secure and appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed according to established procedures
  • Participates in planning and designing of computing and network infrastructure
  • Is responsible for monitoring performance of selected networks and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks
  • Promote code changes to live systems using a Source Code Management application
  • Develop and maintain all backup procedures and records for all property data and systems
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for system security for all applicable systems to minimize potential exposure/risk
  • Ensure that all use of IT resources conform to all Federal and state laws and that all software is legally owned by or licensed to the business
  • Maintain all inventory of the IT systems, software, and hardware
  • Anticipate future network needs and identify proactive solutions to satisfy needs
  • Serves as liaison between business units and IT, communicating technical information and plans
