Inventory Clerk

Primary Scope: Attendant of the tool crib; working with all levels of the organization, ensuring that proper tooling is available and is cost-effective for production on a daily basis. This position is out on the machine shop floor. Experience is not necessary, we will train.

Basic Job Duties:

Responsible for inventories in vending/matrix system, working daily with vendors.

Keeping an accurate inventory of tools and storing them properly.

Efficiently secure inventory.

Ensure accuracy for kitting of upcoming jobs, as well as visual inspection and/or disposition of tooling returned from production.

Physically receive and store tool(s).

Organize the crib with like parts to avoid wasted time looking in different areas.

Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.

Maintain shop floor checklists.

Recycle and scrap carbide.

Ensure that Hobs, shapers etc. are sharpened and ready for use.

Prepare and track UPS.

Pick up and deliver when necessary.

Duties to Perform:

Receive products into Job Boss.

Request for Quote to Vendors.

Skills and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred, but not expected - we will train).

Excellent organizational skills.

Planning and ability to think ahead and plan.

Excellent time-management skills with ability to work independently with little supervision.

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure quality and delivery requirements.

Strong team player

Commitment to the organization.

English speaking required.

This is a 1st shift position.

Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Mondays through Fridays.
