POSITION TITLE: Superintendent - South Florida Custom Single-Family Homes

PAY STATUS: Non-exempt

PAY RANGE: $110,000/ yr

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Superintendent with expertise in custom single-family home construction in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of ground-up construction processes and a strong background in managing projects from inception to completion. Experience with waterfront properties and piled foundations will be highly advantageous.

Significant Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of custom single-family home construction projects in South Florida, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and budgetary requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Manage on-site construction activities, including scheduling, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, to provide updates and address any concerns or inquiries.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Utilize Procore software to streamline project management and facilitate communication among project team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction in South Florida.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in custom single-family home construction, preferably in South Florida.
  • Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction standards applicable to South Florida.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Experience with waterfront properties and piled foundations is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
