A Service Advisor is often our first point of contact for service customers via email, telephone and in person. In this role, you will prepare written estimates for service work and parts and act as a liaison between customers, sales team members, manufacturer representatives, and service technicians.

• Must have outgoing, friendly personality and superior communication and customer service skills
• Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing expert advice and guidance
• Initiate work orders and maintain control until closed and billed
• Must be customer service, yet goal-oriented, maintaining a sales-focused approach in an effort to increase service revenue
• Maintain and update customer records, service history, and warranty information
• Scheduling service work appropriately
• Returning phone calls and emails promptly
• Create detailed service orders, ensuring accuracy and clarity for both the customer and the service team
• Performing walkarounds with customer
• Explaining repair process to the customer
• Ensuring the parts are available for the jobs prior to dispatch.
• Ensuring the work is approved by the customer and a service plan for repair is set
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service status, cost estimates, and timeframes
• Ensure all service work is completed to the highest standards, meeting customer expectations
• Assist with parts ordering and inventory management as needed

• Proven experience as a Service Writer, preferably in a marine, power sport, or automotive dealership
• Strong knowledge of marine vessels
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in using service management software and other related tools is a plus
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in marine services is a plus
