Primary Purpose: Ensure the Mounting department always has all needed parts and tools to manufacture bodies of garbage trucks.
General Description: Order, unload, and deliver all needed parts from internal and external vendors to their proper areas to maximize production efficiency.

Essential Duties
  • Deliver purchased and fabricated parts to required areas using a forklift or overhead crane.
  • Maintain inventory for all parts needed to produce garbage truck assemblies.
  • Order parts in an efficient manner to minimize production delays.
  • Check upcoming work orders to identify needed components.
Other Duties
  • Good communication.
  • Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
  • Assist other individuals in areas when needed.
  • Read tape measure.
  • Read and understand documents and shop orders.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
