We are seeking a Shop Foreman to lead, coach, and mentor a team of automotive technicians. You will be responsible for performing important vehicle service duties bumper-to-bumper. You'll use your knowledge and skills to keep your guests safe on the road, follow safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a MENTOR in the shop
  • Oversee/lead, coach, and mentor a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship and efficient workflow.
  • Assign and prioritize work orders based on technician skills and departmental priorities, ensuring timely completion of customer repairs and service.
  • Monitor technician productivity and efficiency, providing feedback and training as needed to optimize performance and achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to manufacturer standards and dealership quality control procedures.
  • Diagnose and address complex automotive issues, providing technical assistance and guidance to technicians as required.
  • Coordinate with service advisors and parts department to ensure availability of parts and accurate completion of repair orders.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with safety regulations and dealership standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about Genesis vehicles, technical updates, and service procedures to maintain proficiency and meet certification requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an automotive technician, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
  • ASE certification or equivalent technical training required.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with expertise in automotive systems and repair techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve performance targets.
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in repair work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
