Maintenance Assistant

Aravilla is Sarasota’s leading assisted living and memory care community. We have 200 units and are located on a beautiful 8-acre campus. Our staff provides care, fun, health and wellness to our residents. Responsibilities:

- Assist with the maintenance and repair of campus grounds, facilities and equipment

- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs

- Move furniture and assist in resident room set-up and relocation

- Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues as needed

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects

- Assist with the implementation of preventive maintenance programs

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

- Provide excellent service to our residents.

Note: These responsibilities are not all-inclusive. We will need you to perform other maintenance duties.

Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred

- Basic welding skills are a plus

- Familiarity with logic controllers is beneficial

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Florida State law requires you to pass a Level 2 Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) criminal background check to work in assisted living. If you can’t pass, please don’t apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
