Director of Plant Operations

Responsibilities:
*Oversee the entire physical plant to maintain the 280 units in all neighborhoods (Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support and Skilled Nursing/Rehabilitation). Plan, direct, evaluate the activities of engineering, maintenance, housekeeping and safety in compliance with applicable procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines.
*Maintain and effectively execute work order and preventative maintenance programs.
*Monitor status of buildings and grounds. Plan for needed maintenance, repairs, supplies and equipment. Consult with staff, designers, architects, engineers, vendors, maintenance providers and contractors.
*Coordinate unit renovations.
*Update and monitor energy management systems.
*Plan, implement and monitor all plant/facility maintenance budgets, expenses and contracts.
*Supervise staff and projects for grounds, maintenance and housekeeping departments.
*Direct staff project assignments within budget, forecasts and staffing plans. Ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
*Develop and maintain methods of coordination of plant operations services with other departments to ensure the continuity of services for residents.
*Coordinate and communicate with other departments and leadership to ensure effective operations.
*Make reports and recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary or required concerning general operations.
*Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Reports directly to the Executive Director and is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment. The Director of Plant Operations supervises the Operations Manager and assists in the direction and review of department associates.
Salary and Benefits:
**Salaried Exempt Position -- Annual salary starting at $85,000 based upon relevant plant/facilities management experience.
**Earn Paid Time Off
**Eligible for health, dental, vision and life insurance benefits effective the 1st of the month after start date. Individual or Family coverage available.
**Eligible for 401k with 50% (maximum of 4%) match of earnings.

*4 - 5 years of progressively responsible plant operations/facilities management experience required. Experience in senior living, hospital or hotel-related environments preferred.
*Plant operations management certification recommended.
*Relevant bachelor degree preferred.
