Job Summary:The telehandler operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a telehandler to move, lift, and position heavy materials and equipment at construction sites, warehouses, or other work environments. They must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the well-being of themselves, their coworkers, and the site.
Salary: $22 Per Hour Location: Mount Pulaski, IL Hours:8am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate Telehandler: Safely and effectively operate a telehandler to lift, move, and position materials and equipment according to project requirements.
  2. Load and Unload: Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles using the telehandler, ensuring proper weight distribution and balance.
  3. Material Handling: Transport materials across construction sites or within warehouses, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
  4. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the telehandler, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures for safe operation.
  6. Site Assistance: Assist other workers on the construction site or in the warehouse with various tasks as needed, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and securing materials.
  7. Communication: Maintain clear communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Experience: Previous experience operating a telehandler or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
  2. Certification: Possession of a valid telehandler operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
  3. Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure materials are handled and positioned accurately and safely.
  5. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety regulations and guidelines.
  6. Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and supervisors.
  7. Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

Working Conditions:Telehandler operators may work outdoors in various weather conditions and may be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.
