As a bulk feed ingredient export trader, you will be responsible for managing the export trading of feed ingredients, ensuring profitable operations and efficient delivery to international customers. Your role will involve P&L management, market analysis, supplier and customer relations, risk management, contract negotiation, documentation compliance, logistics coordination, performance tracking, and relationship development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- P&L Management: Manage the profit and loss (P&L) of ingredient export trading, optimizing costs, and ensuring profitability.
- Trade Execution: Execute transactions for feed ingredient exports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research and analysis of the global feed ingredient market to identify opportunities, monitor trends, and stay informed about industry developments.
- Supplier and Customer Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers worldwide, negotiating favorable terms and conditions for export transactions.
- Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate market risks associated with feed ingredient exports, including currency fluctuations, logistics challenges, and regulatory compliance.
- Contract Negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements while safeguarding company interests.
- Documentation and Compliance: Oversee export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of shipments, including scheduling, transportation, and timely delivery of feed ingredients.
- Ensures compliance with applicable trade rules and internal policies and procedures.
- Drives a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, agriculture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in trading of bulk feed ingredients or similar commodities.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, logistics, and documentation.
Physical Demands
· Requires occasional domestic and international travel.
· Ability to perform work and take calls outside of regular work hours based on customer and market requirements.
· Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
· Ability to navigate an office environment.
