Job Title: Psychologist/Psychometrist

Job Summary

A Psychologist plays a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services to patients. The Psychologist is responsible for conducting assessments, providing therapy, and developing treatment plans to support patients in their mental and emotional well-being. This role contributes to the overall success of our facility in delivering comprehensive mental health care.


In addition, this individual is responsible for completing neuropsychological and psychological test administration for a variety of necessary testing measures administered during standard clinical care.
The Psychometric Rater is responsible for administering and interpreting quantitative tests for the measurement of psychological variables related to diseases and disorders, examples of which include, but are not limited to, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, TRD, Autism, Tourette, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and other CNS disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and conditions.
  • Administer standardized tests and interviews to evaluate patients' emotional and cognitive well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to form a comprehensive diagnosis.
  • Provide evidence-based individual therapy to patients with various mental health concerns.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Lead or co-facilitate group therapy sessions on topics relevant to mental health and well-being.
  • Create a supportive and therapeutic group environment.
  • Encourage open communication and peer support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute mental health crises.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Assess and manage risk factors and safety plans.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records, including assessment results and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Offer guidance and resources for continued well-being and recovery.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Education:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology from an accredited institution required.

or

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor or related field.

Certifications:

  • State licensure as a psychologist or LMHC required.
  • Specialized certifications or training in relevant therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Clinical experience as a licensed psychologist or LMHC, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Testing experience in the following assessments: ADI-R, SCI-PANSS, ADOS, WASI-II


Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
  • Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
  • Good communication skills and emotional resilience to provide support to patients facing mental health challenges.


Minimum salary/hourly: $40,000

Maximum salary/hourly: $65,000

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
