Arrowleaf is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Technician to join our team. This full-time position serves as a crucial link between Arrowleaf staff and our IT partner, Systems Solutions. The Field Technician will be responsible for managing and resolving technical issues, maintaining our IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between our organization and 3rd party vendors.
Job Title: Field Technician
Home Office: Vienna, IL; Anna, IL; or Cairo, IL. Location dependent on preference.
Area of Focus: Administrative Department
Immediate Supervisor: Safety & Security Officer
Hours of Work: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Field Technician Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a related role.
Field Technician Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues; familiarity with network systems, and server management; cybersecurity best practices, and HIPAA regulations; experience with IT service management tools and processes; ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; strong customer service skills and experience troubleshooting Microsoft Desktop systems and applications; experience supporting general networking, Microsoft Server operating systems, and virtualization is a plus.
Field Technician Special Requirements: Ability to travel across the southern seven counties of Illinois; ability to schedule evening appointments; availability for after-hours calls; maintain and provide proof of a valid driver's license; maintain and provide proof of personal vehicle liability insurance; at least 21 years of age; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks;
Field Technician Job duties include, but are not limited to
  • Liaison Duties: Act as the primary point of contact between Arrowleaf staff and Systems Solutions and other 3rd party vendors, facilitating communication and ensuring that all IT-related needs and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support to Arrowleaf staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new equipment, and ensuring that all IT systems function effectively.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and optimization of Arrowleaf’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and other critical technology components.
  • Problem Resolution: Collaborate with Systems Solutions to resolve complex technical problems and ensure minimal downtime for Arrowleaf operations.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensure that all IT practices and systems adhere to the best practices for HIPAA compliance, safeguarding the privacy and security of patient information in all digital and physical formats.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, incidents, and resolutions to ensure continuity and support future troubleshooting efforts. Work within a ticketing system and maintain a ticket queue.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to Arrowleaf staff on new technologies, HIPAA compliance, and best practices to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel between Arrowleaf’s 20+ physical locations in the southern seven counties of Illinois as needed.
  • After-Hours Support: Be available for after-hours calls and support as necessary.
