Salary: $22.55- $26.40 Per Hour

Summary

The Team Lead works closely with the Clinical Director of Community-Based Services and is responsible for the provision of services to patients enrolled in Outpatient Competency Restoration. This position provides administrative and programmatic oversight and supervision for all counseling and non-counseling staff in the program including service delivery, maintenance of patient records, contract compliance and liaison with various government and private agencies and officials. This position provides clinical services to agency patients. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent performs the following duties:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the OCRP team including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for all shifts; assist in leading or lead organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings; continuously work with the Clinical Program Director to evaluate the status of clients and do appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.

  • Work with Forensic Navigators to coordinate new referrals, and direct and coordinate client intakes to ensure timely completion of intake documentation.

  • Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, work assignments, and orientation and performance supervision according to work rules, regulations, and policies and collective bargaining agreements; develop and implement staff orientation and training; and manage student training.

  • Provides administrative supervision in collaboration with the Clinical Program Director to ensure completion of treatment services including case staffing, chart entries, case audits, individual service plan reviews and discharges.

  • Set up and maintain appropriate OCRP headquarters with suitable furniture, office equipment, and telephone lines, directly or by delegation.

  • Coordinate the provision of weekly status updates, case conferences, behavioral concern reporting, and re-evaluation for all program clients.

  • Carry out and document quality-assurance activities and reviews of use of program services.

  • Work with the Clinical Program Director to develop and maintain program policies and procedures and revise as necessary.

  • Provides direct patient care services including individual services planning, care coordination, Breaking Barriers curriculum instruction, case management, and/or peer support services as appropriate.

  • Initiate and maintain relationships, in coordination with other staff, with other regional Trueblood projects, DSHS, and HCA. Attend regional collaboration meetings, case staffings, and case conferences.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge Required

  • A bachelor’s degree or further advanced degree in counseling or one of the social sciences from an accredited college or university preferred;
  • Must obtain a WA State Credential to practice prior to starting the position;
  • At least one year experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness required;
  • Experience working with court systems preferred;
  • Supervisory and program management experience is desirable;
  • Willing to be trained as a Subject Matter Expert for Breaking Barriers Competency Restoration Program;
  • Familiarity with Washington State regulations related to the provision of mental health services (RCW 71.05) and substance use dependency services (WAC 388-877) required;
  • Current unencumbered driver license and proof of current car insurance;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Great attendance; and
  • Ability to work well with others.

GUIDELINES

This position requires that the incumbent obtain and maintain Washington State credentials through the Department of Health. This position also requires the incumbent to have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a private vehicle in order to fulfill the duties of the position.

COMPLEXITY

The incumbent provides community based behavior support services to individuals who differ widely in age and socioeconomic status and who may possess a variety of chronic and serious social, behavioral and psychological problems. Strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and creativity are required to help implement and deliver treatment services that meet the complex needs of the individuals.

PERSONAL CONTACTS

Contacts are with the members of the treatment team, significant others of the individuals, representatives of various community agencies specializing in the treatment of chemical abuse and mental illness, and related community representatives including hospital personnel, lawyers, probation officers, and other court officials. All personal contacts are carried out in accordance with federal and state laws dealing with the confidentiality of patient records.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Most of the work can be performed while sitting and talking. The position requires the ability to travel within the community by private vehicle as needed.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Working hours are spent indoors in offices or in the community meeting with individuals in their homes or at court. Supervision of outdoor activities, visits to community agencies, and participation in staff retreats and staff development activities will be required.
