Salary / Hourly Rate: $90k - $110k / year

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team of ardent champions The Controller's role involves working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the financial activities of the organization. This includes assisting in the preparation of financial reports, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Controller is responsible for controlling and coordinating all accounting functions for the organization. Emphasis is placed on leveraging technology and automated processes to maintain a paperless environment.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Playing a key role in budgeting and forecasting, providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Working closely with the CFO to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Assisting in preparing for audits and tax filings, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
  • Maintain all accounting records to ensure integrity in financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports in compliance with internal and external accounting guidelines and policies for various stakeholders.
  • Maximize technology for accounting processes, data analysis, and report presentation.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the organizations financial status.
  • Manage capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Analyze expenditures against budget and research opportunities for productivity and cost efficiencies.
  • Compile information needed for the annual budget alongside strategic changes in the organization and market trends.
  • Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation.
  • Study industry-specific research data to predict trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-10 years of experience working as a Controller.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment and leveraging technology for accounting processes.
