Orbital is seeking a skilled and proactive Deltek Vantagepoint Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The Deltek System Administrator will maintain the effective use of our cloud based Deltek Vantagepoint ERP system which also consists of the Vantagepoint Intelligence module operating with Tableau, and the Unionpoint package operating with Workato. The successful candidate will be responsible for system maintenance which includes, but is not limited to troubleshooting issues and applying fixes, upgrading versions, managing integrations and ensuring system performance expectations are met. The role will require communicating with all departments and providing essential support to our staff. The Deltek System Administrator must be able to work comfortably with all user levels and be willing to cross-train/share knowledge to enhance the overall quality of the services delivered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Position duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead administration, maintenance, and optimization of Deltek Vantagepoint (user management, security configuration, system updates, data integrity oversight, etc.)
  • Continuously monitor system performance and develop/maintain internal process and workflows
  • Perform system process testing and QA duties for implementation and enhancements.
  • Support additional application implementations, key processes and integrations, and change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate regularly with multiple business units to understand their ERP requirements and objectives.
  • Lead end user training through both external resources (Deltek University, consultant webinars, conferences, local user support groups, published materials etc.) and the development and roll out of internal training materials
  • Collaborate regularly with leadership for the firm’s functional areas and explore how to best leverage the system, provide recommendations on system improvements, new release items, and user defined enhancements.
  • Support End-Users in the day-to-day applications of the system by discussing and resolving problems (troubleshooting) in a timely manner.
  • Provision user accounts and adjust application access for existing users based on requests received.
  • Serve as the company’s liaison with Deltek and related consultants.
  • Develop charts and dashparts for KPI monitoring and tracking within role specific dashboards.
  • Create Stored Procedures, workflows and Workato recipes to facilitate required functionality in the system.
  • Assume special projects and duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related/applicable major.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • Experience integrating data with a relational database.
  • Experience with SQL Stored Procedures, View, Indexes and Constraints.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Experience manipulating data for import and report building.

Preferred requirements:

  • Microsoft Office 365: Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, VBA and macros), Sharepoint, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Power BI or Tableau experience
  • Experience working within an architecture, engineering or construction setting
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server experience
