A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FLEET SUPERVISOR


Fleet Supervisor

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for managing the provision, maintenance, inspection, and service of all company fleet, including but not limited to all vehicles, trailers, and portable generators, along with the digital two-way radio system. This person will manage the cooperative fuel system and the external fuel management system.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FLEET SUPERVISOR

  • Education: An associate degree from an accredited college in business and/or accounting. Experience may be substituted in lieu of part of the education requirements. ASE Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years in areas related to purchasing, inventory management, vehicle maintenance, or related utility functions.
  • Knowledge: Must have a working knowledge of the theory and procedures upon which public bidding, contract management, inventory records, trend projection methods, warehousing, issuing procedures and vehicles procurement.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license recognized by the State of Delaware. Preferred to possess a current and valid CDL Class A driver's license recognized by the State of Delaware.
