Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:
Responsible for the coordination and execution of general labor maintenance tasks within the facility, as well as managing the maintenance of the material handling equipment fleet (e.g. forklifts) through the Customer. These tasks may be routine, requested by Schnellecke Management, or in collaboration with the Customer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the Maintenance Team Members and the Material Handling Equipment Specialist.
- Maintaining accurate payroll information, including approval of pay and PTO
- Recruiting and training of Maintenance Team Members
- Personnel management including corrective actions
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote, comply with, and adhere to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Uphold Schnellecke and Customer quality standards.
- Support and enforce the Schnellecke SPIRIT.
- Submit and support suggestions/ ideas for improvement (Kaizen).
- Adhere to 5S standards in area of responsibility.
- Comply with the emergency strategies set in place.
- Execution of tasks and processes according to training manuals and work instructions.
- Project Manager and Estimator for internal and external facility projects defined by Schnellecke Management or the Customer. Including but not limited to contact with external vendors, financial inquiries, price comparison, and quote creation.
- Management of all daily tasks related to owned and rented material handling equipment including but not limited to the coordination of maintenance with the Customer, self-repairs, invoice management, validation, and queries from 3rd parties.
- Define and recommend counter measures and improvements through continuous damages.
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors as requested.
- Control and monitor maintenance cage and equipment inventory.
- Knowledge of, and ability to operate, various powered lift equipment.
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines and application to warehouse environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Practical knowledge, and the ability to apply, basic mechanical and electrical repairs that do not require specialized training.
- Ability to maintain Powered Lift Equipment licensing as applicable.
- Knowledge of work order systems and project management techniques
- MS Office proficiency
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently during the workday.
- Ability to stand, bend, or squat frequently during the workday.
