Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the efficient and timely production of high-quality aluminum investment castings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure production schedules allow for thorough quality checks and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, procurement, engineering, and quality, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Utilize ERP to track and analyze production metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Optimize resource utilization to achieve production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Provide regular updates on production schedules, changes, and potential challenges.
- Analyze customer demand patterns and collaborate with sales teams to forecast future demand accurately.
- Bachelors degree in business, Operations Management, or proven experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience using ERP Systems (Epicor)
