Job Summary:
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Caterpillar Corner, you'll play a vital role in shaping the lives of curious young minds You'll create a warm and engaging classroom environment, develop innovative lesson plans, and guide children (ages 2-4) on their exciting learning journey. We're looking for a passionate and dedicated team member who thrives in a collaborative setting and is committed to nurturing the potential of each child.
What You'll Do:
- Cultivate a safe, secure, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that are age-appropriate and aligned with our curriculum.
- Supervise daily routines and activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of each child.
- Build positive relationships with children, fostering their individuality and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with co-teachers on lesson planning, classroom management, and daily tasks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed on their child's progress.
- Continuously learn and grow through professional development opportunities.
- High School diploma required, with a CDA Credential or college experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or a child-related field (a plus).
- Strong understanding of child development philosophies and practices.
- Passion for creating engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) and a commitment to bi-yearly renewal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
