Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $15 per Hour

Responsible for cutting/grooving kerfs in wood panel products. Ensures that kerfs are made to specifications. Troubleshoot and determine product and machine issues. Requires mechanical knowledge of the Groover Machine and the ability to fix various problems.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Read and understand measurements with rulers, tape measures, and calipers.
  • Ensure kerfs are aligned and at the correct depth. Troubleshoot misaligned kerfs and provide a solution.
  • Ensure products are assembled and made to specifications.
  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning machinery, and work area.
  • Responsible for cleaning materials to be processed as finished goods.
  • Assists in other production areas when needed.
  • Follow safety rules, work policies, and procedures per training/instructions.
  • Communicate in an efficient and effective manner to ensure jobs are done correctly.

 

Qualifications

  • Some Mechanical Experience
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Move with coordination and dexterity. Possess the manual dexterity needed to use hand tools.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively


Work Environment: Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, and vibration.  Noise Level: Medium Loud


Physical Demands: Lift an average of 30 lbs./day; lift 70 lbs. on a regular basis; lift 90 lbs. occasionally; lift over 90 lbs. with assistance. Walk and stand for extensive periods.


Position Type/Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Prior production experience is desirable, but not necessary.


Salary/Benefits:  FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Based on experience. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401K, 14 paid holidays, vacation/PTO, and bonus plan.
