Hyannis Country Garden is seeking Laborers to assist in the maintenance of company facilities and helping with the moving of product and sale of our products.
In this role, you will:
- Receive and display green goods and hard goods merchandise as directed.
- Be responsible for upkeep of facilities and grounds: weeding and raking, debris removal, putting nursery stock in proper areas and rows, watering, and other yard duties as directed by Nursery Manager.
- Be able to assist customers with GARDEN selling skills in accordance with training card program.
- Maintain company standards as stated in policy manual.
Reporting to the Nursery Manager, instructions for new assignments are directed daily through a working task list. In addition, the successful candidate must have the physical ability and endurance to lift heavy objects repeatedly and able to work in all kinds of weather. A basic knowledge of plants and plant maintenance is desirable. Good interpersonal skills and the good ability to work with public are required.
A candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a laborer in the landscape industry helpful not necessary.
