Summary:

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for performing both in-house and on-site IT repair, troubleshooting computer/software problems, as well as researching causes and solutions.

Job Duties:

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Perform IT installations, configurations, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software in accordance to company policies and standards.
  2. Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults.
  3. Communicate with 3rd party support vendors to resolve support calls that require action from them.
  4. Provide remote support for users (where applicable)
  5. Actively participate in the management of inventory of all company laptops, PC’s, and workstations.
  6. Respond to support tickets and inbound computer-related calls quickly and effectively to prevent interruption of workflow.
  7. Keep devices patched and in compliance
  8. Provide after-hours support for emergencies on a rotating schedule.
  9. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a windows help desk environment
  • Thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of PC/LAN/WAN networks and other network technologies
  • Travel between plant locations in the Green Bay area will be required
