Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPurpose: Qualified CDL licensed truck driver to make local deliveries in and around the surrounding Worcester, MA area. Role and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:

Local distance Driving for Delivery and Pickup of Product

  • Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
  • Maintaining a detailed ELD in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
  • Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
  • Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner
  • Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
  • Recording cargo deliveries
  • Verifying loads for accuracy
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • CDL A License
  • Clean driving record
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to drive a manual or automatic truck
  • Minimum of 2 years experience driving a truck
  • Experience driving with an ELD system
  • Knowledge of applicable HOS regulations
Additional Notes
  • Assigned routes may change on a weekly basis.
  • The number of routes assigned will depend on the number of days required for each assigned route.
