Position Overview: As a Pediatric Medical Assistant with us, you'll be an essential part of our mission to Deliver The Unexpected, Engage our Community, and Value every little Patient. You'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate care, creating a warm and welcoming environment, and building connections that last a lifetime. From greeting families with a friendly smile to comforting children during procedures, you'll be the heart and soul of our clinic, making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient-Centered Care: Be the beacon of comfort and support for our young patients and their families, ensuring that every interaction is filled with kindness, empathy, and respect. From taking vital signs to assisting with procedures, your gentle touch and reassuring presence will make all the difference.

  2. Family Support: Extend a helping hand to families facing challenges, offering resources, guidance, and emotional support to navigate their healthcare journey with confidence and compassion. Empower parents and caregivers to actively participate in their child's care and advocate for their needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
    • Must Have Medical Assistant Certification
    • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
    • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent training.
    • Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families of diverse backgrounds.
    • Compassionate nature and a strong sense of empathy, with the ability to comfort and reassure anxious children and parents.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare patients for exams
  • Take patient medical history
  • Perform simple office lab test (i.e. urine, pregnancy test, glucose tests, etc.)
  • Draw periodic lab tests and complete requisitions for ordered tests
  • Prepare and organize exam rooms by cleaning, stocking and assisting in ordering supplies
  • Clean and Autoclave medical instruments
  • Assist physicians with entering patient data and orders in the computer.
