As the Sommelier for Halls Chophouse Greenville, you will educate and empower our guests to navigate our wine list. You are able to lead the guest beyond the bottle, explaining how the smell of the soil marries with the climate to create each note in the finished product.

You strive to make every guest feel at home, at the table and with the wines.
  • A self-leaderyou understand leadership starts with yourself. As an ambassador for beverages, you lead yourself with honesty and integrity which translates to how you treat your coworkers and guests.
  • A versatile beverage aficionadoyour beverage knowledge includes spirits, beer and cocktails. You understand why whiskey and bourbon are different as well as the origins and ingredients of classic cocktails.
Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus, but not required. Proven, extensive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits is a must.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Value hospitality, excellence and integrity.

  • Build sales, control costs and help create memories for all our guests
  • A training background, and solid P&L skills are a plus
  • Candidate must be a true believer in the company and its product and be able to share their passion with our guests and colleagues
  • Must be honest and genuine with an ownership-driven mentality and a hands-on attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Composed problem-solving ability
  • Two years comparable restaurant experience as a manager
