Job Title: Commercial Producer

Working Hours: Full Time – 40 Hours per Week (Mon-Fri, 9 AM EST – 5 PM EST)

Job Overview:

The primary focus of the Producer is to efficiently and effectively call on business owners to solicit the Agency’s services. To aid in this task, BME Commercial Insurance will provide software that will identify renewal dates, provide contact information for prospects, and organize deal flow to increase the likelihood of success for the Producer.  It is the objective of the Producer to obtain the information necessary for our back-office team to provide a competitive quote. This would include applications, copies of policy documents, loss runs, and all other supporting documentation. The Producer is also responsible for presenting and selling both New Business and Renewal Proposals.  The Producer is successful when they get a commitment from the customer on the proposal, and the policy is bound and paid. 

 

Benefits:

  • 50% Contribution to Health Plan. Available after 2 months of employment.
  • 401k with first 3% matched at 100% and the next 2.5% at 50%. Available after 3 months of employment.
  • $500 a month car allowance when $1,000,000 of new business has been produced within a fiscal period.
  • $75 a month cell phone reimbursement unless a cell phone is provided.
  • 10 PTO Days – After 60 Days of Employment.
  • 5 Sick Days.
  • Software to assist in identifyig renewal dates, contact information for prospects, and organizing deal flow to increase the likelihood of success for the Producer.


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.  
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with an ability to overcome obstacles as an individual and with group coordination.
  • Effective time management skills and can thrive in a team environment.
  • Proficient with technology and understanding of Microsoft Office applications & email. 
  • Ability to effectively and courteously communicate with all persons.

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to work up to 10 hours per day in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some travel may be required.
