Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Internship may be at a corn or soybean facility depending on geographic area. The goal of the internship is to give the intern a basic knowledge of seed production and the Remington Seeds culture.


Duties will vary by site and season but could include:

Corn Production Activities

  • Seed Planting Procedures
  • GPS field measuring
  • Field Scouting
  • Rouging and Detasselling inspections
  • Pollination data collection
  • WPS compliance

Soybean Production Activities

  • Field Identification and tagging
  • Flowering Inspections
  • Grower Training
  • Bin Inspections and Tagging
  • Plant Maintenance
  • Seed Stock Usage and Reporting
  • Quality Control
Requirements:
  • Enrollment in a university degree program or agricultural experience
  • Reliable transportation to work and around fields
  • Interested candidates need to be energetic, hands-on, possess excellent communication and personal organization skills.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others
