Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionBarkfield Animal Hospital is seeking Doggy Daycare/Kennel Attendants to add to our team. Scheduled times can be between 7am to 6pm, every day of the week. We are flexible on hours/dates, however you MUST be able to work some weekends and holidays.

Key competencies that come along with this position include: safely managing groups of dogs,
cleaning up after dogs, maintaining a clean and sanitary facility, cleaning yards, kennels, etc (a great portion of this position is cleaning) and standing on your feet for most of the day.

*Reliable transportation a must*

**Pay is based on experience**

Pay: starting at $13 per hour
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders
  • Safe handling and restraint
  • Feeding and watering
  • Walking and bathing 
  • Monitoring behaviors
  • Ensuring the well-being of pets 
  • Assisting medical staff

What You'll Bring:
  • Must have previous animal experience
  • Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects
  • A sense of fun and teamwork – Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply
  • Dependable and able to work independently
  • Passion for dog care
  • STRONG WORK ETHIC
  • Attention to detail
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Expect to work some holidays (Spring Break, Easter, July 4th, Memorial/Labor day weekends, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Etc) and weekends.
