Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in our Women's Health Program. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.

What Will You be Doing?

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Provide prenatal, postnatal, and general gynecological care, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as STIs, menstrual disorders, menopause, and infertility.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and non-pharmacological therapies as needed.
  • Educate and counsel patients on reproductive health, family planning, contraception, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and perform procedures such as IUD placement, Nexplanon placement, colposcopies, and biopsies.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, BHCs, care coordinators, and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care.
  • Coordinate patient care and referrals to specialists as needed.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs tailored to women's health needs.
  • Provide patient education materials and resources on topics such as prenatal care, breastfeeding, menopause management, and cancer prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in women's health through continuing education, professional development, and participation in relevant organizations.
  • Contribute to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects within the practice setting.

What We Need from You:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program with a focus on Women's Health.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA registration as required by state law.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in women's health, obstetrics, or gynecology preferred.
  • Experience in primary care or family practice is a plus.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in women's health care procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, Christ-directed and patient-centered approach to care.
