Job Title: Master Automotive Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of automotive systems, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to our customers. As a Master Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our service center.


As an Automotive Technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnosis and Repair:
    • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to identify complex automotive issues.
    • Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs on a variety of vehicles.
    • Address engine, transmission, suspension, and other complex system malfunctions.
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and their interactions.
    • Provide guidance and expertise to junior technicians.
  3. Supervision and Training:
    • Oversee and mentor junior automotive technicians.
    • Provide training on advanced repair techniques, diagnostics, and safety procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  4. Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses and repair recommendations.
    • Address customer concerns and provide excellent customer service.
    • Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and timelines.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Ensure the quality of repair work meets or exceeds industry standards.
    • Conduct thorough post-repair inspections to verify the effectiveness of repairs.
    • Implement and enforce quality control processes within the automotive service department.
  6. Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used.
    • Utilize computerized systems for tracking and documenting repair processes.
    • Generate reports on service department activities as needed.
  7. Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Promote a culture of safety within the automotive service department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is preferred.
  • Several years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification as a Master Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic automotive service environment.
