We are a growing Infertility Practice seeking an Andrologist for our IVFMD lab.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Andrologist performs all the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed. Assist as support role for embryology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs all Andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed by World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
  • Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, and in keeping with Prelude Fertility policies, procedures and standards of patient care and initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level
  • Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance
  • Follows all laboratory SOPs and OSHA guidelines including universal precautions for blood borne pathogens.
  • Performs comprehensive semen analysis, including sperm count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability (if indicated).

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of college credits with 24 hours documented credits in Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences, or related field from an accredited four-year institution is required.
  • 1 year prior laboratory experience
  • MT or MLT Florida license is required
