Position: Facilities Custodian

Classification: Full-time, M - F, Hourly Employee

Salary: $15.00 - $18.00/hour

Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; M-F

Lee County is looking for a Facilities Custodian to join our team The Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitized, and attractive facilities by performing general, routine custodial duties in a climate-controlled work environment.

On a day-to-day basis Custodians:

  • Custodial duties, including, but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing and sanitizing restrooms, washing window glass and sills, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles, and bags trash for proper disposal.
  • Periodically perform heavy or deep-cleaning, such as shampooing or steam-cleaning carpets

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License (required)
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Have previous experience in the custodial field
  • Be reliable, hard-working, and self-motivated team player
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow directions given either verbally or in writing.
  • Have good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to complete assignments within given time constraints.
