VCRNOW specializes in the manufacturing and installation of LED Scoreboards for school districts and occasionally churches. As a Lead AV Tech, you will be leading a team on-site and helping to get those scoreboards in place 

Position Overview: 

VCRNOW is looking to hire multiple Lead Audio/Video Technicians, as well as Regular Audio/Video Technicians (you can apply for the A/V Technician in a separate posting). The Audio/Video Technician will be focused on working mainly in the field (and at times in the office) on Audio and Video Installations and repairs. A good percentage would be 75% in the field, and 25% in the office/doing office tasks. Willingness to travel is required for this position. You will be leading a group of 2 or 3 more technicians on every project. 

This is a full-time position, with full benefits included, and PTO. We are offering $45,000 +/- (salary) depending on skill level and experience. As well as a $4,000 per year increase in salary as you earn specific certifications

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • End-of-day reporting of accomplished tasks, as well as any other tasks defined by the company leadership
  • Daily interaction in the Project Management system for job assignments
  • Working with the A/V Site Supervisor  and other team members to accomplish assigned Audio n / Video installations and Repairs
  • Install, pull, and terminate wire/cable as per specifications
  • Perform assembly, installation, and repair of equipment, materials, and systems as directed, specified, and required in the work orders and project documentation 
  • Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation and work orders, and determining if additional information is required
  • Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure the performance of the system
  • Attend regular job meetings when required
  • Comply with company policies, as well as health and safety issues
  • Daily communications with A/V Site Supervisor on delays, requirements, general status, any problems, and concerns with assigned projects
  • Works with A/V Site Supervisor to oversee the installation activities of a crew to ensure jobs are on track and within the estimate
  • Responsible for training Helpers on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques
  • Maintain a professional image and build good customer relationships
  • All work is performed to Company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced
  • Work with A/V Site Supervisor and Project Manager on startup to ensure complete system compliance and to ensure complete closeout and turnover to the client.
  • Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that the company offers
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • May perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and correcting employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Promotes a team environment
  • Other duties as required or assigned

REQUIREMENTS: The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. 

Knowledge:

  • 3+ years working in the Audio / Video / Low Voltage Field
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety 
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
  • Termination of Audio, Video, Lighting, Network, and Fiber connectors 
  • Proper mounting of equipment
  • Pulling low-voltage cable
  • Audio / Video / Lighting system building and troubleshooting 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision
  • Ability to finish projects with excellence and on time
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small-group situations

Certifications/Licenses: 

  • CTS
  • Valid and current driver's license.
  • Legally Allowed to be employed in the United States

  • Programming: Dante 1, 2, & 3, IP, DSP, video routing, & switcher systems   

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
  • Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail Experience
  • Project Management System Experience. 

Certifications/Licenses:

  • CTS-I
  • CTS-D
  • Lift Certifications
  • OSHA Certifications

Travel: 

  • Out-of-town travel is required for this position

Hours: 

  • Varies on the current project
  • Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, you will have to work outside those hours depending on the current project
