  • Volume Managers (VXVM, LVM)

Responsibilities:

  • The Platform Solutions Design team is looking for an individual with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Systems with a focus on architectural design.
  • The individual should have experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2019, infrastructure server designs, Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM. This position involves working on application environment design and ensure platforms are secured, up to date and are running properly.
  • Emphasis for this position will be on planning server design, architectural designs, Server system analysis/testing, costing models, hardening and security practices.
  • This individual will also review and test current documented process procedures and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Ideally, the candidate should have significant (5+ years) Microsoft Server System infrastructure design and building primarily with MS Windows Server 2008 through 2019.
  • Knowledge in server analysis and system issue diagnosis, building architectural diagrams for server infrastructure, SCCM, and Experience in Azure Sentinel, PowerShell, and ServiceNow strongly suggested.
  • A record of working effectively with other teams and within a cross-functional team is important.

Requirements:

  • Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems into Northern' s environment
  • Participate in gathering technical and business requirements for new server builds
  • Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.
  • Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
  • Work with application owners and vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Work with project teams to complete tasks and initiatives and ensure projects are following Northern standards
  • Troubleshooting system and server errors, reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
  • Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
  • Managing user access and monitoring system performance.Establish best practices and guidance for the use of technologies and toolsets relating to content management
  • WebLogic configuration/installation/deployment experience
  • Integrating using Google Cloud, Azure and other web services platform.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
