reSAWN TIMBER co. provides new and reclaimed wood products for architectural specifications for flooring, interior wall cladding, ceilings, exterior siding, and custom millwork. We specialize in meeting the needs of architects, designers, and contractors, and providing superior service and guidance in developing specifications for wood products.

reSAWN Timber is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our Technical Services team. Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, an individual in this role will manage high value projects (=large and/or complex) through all project stages. A Project Manager’s primary function is to maintain continuity of high value projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide continuity for projects of high value through all project stages.
  • Aid in the development of these projects as the main point-of-support through viability shaping, custom pricing support, drawing support, mock-up support and sales order preparation during the sales process (from project assignment at Specification or Price Proposal to receipt of deposit).
  • Manage these projects as the main point-of-ownership during the production, delivery and installation process (receipt of deposit through project close-out).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ensure paper and electronic files are accurate and current for all orders. Ensure critical project requirements are fully executed and secured.
  • Provide temporary headship to specific projects at critical junctures (Abodo Direct Orders, Special Deals)
  • Operate in Quickbooks, Hubspot and Google Sheets
  • Report and escalate project issues to upper management when needed
  • Help develop project analytics to include determining a final gross margin of all projects managed to close-out.
  • Help craft project close-out procedures
  • Ensure projects are completed and closed out in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 3-5 years comparable experience
  • Solid computer program skills, including Excel/Numbers and Word/Pages and web-based applications
  • Ability to draft in 2D in a program such as Autocad LT or SketchUp
  • Ability to understand 2D and 3D architectural drawings and effectively analyze construction documents
  • Ability to make pertinent detail sketches to convey architectural concepts
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively identify priorities while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work professionally with clients over the phone, through email, in a virtual meeting setting (Zoom, etc…), and on a construction site.
  • Strong communication skills and grammar.
  • High aptitude for math.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge and experience with wood products and construction methodology.
  • Experience with wood finishings and applications
