Class A Driver (FT or PT)

 

Class A driver for Zeigler’s Distributor Inc. consists of driving a Tractor/ Trailer to make deliveries to our network of customers throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.


Driving / Duties Responsibilities:

  • Long distance driving/ some overnight 2-day deliveries
  • Communicating and coordinating with Dispatcher
  • Knowledgeable/Responsible for Electronic Logs
  • Responsible for Recordkeeping
  • Maintain a clean vehicle
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to problem solve certain tasks or situations
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with computers

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years related experience preferred but not required
  • Class A driver’s license with air brake endorsement

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
