Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Technical Sourcing Specialist. The Technical Sourcing Specialist will be involved in the development of innovative market-facing technology that will provide our customers with custom products, integrated systems, and service solutions with disruptive industry speed, scale and response while providing a safe, innovative, and enriched work environment that delivers best in class results. As the Technical Sourcing Specialist, you will be the primary Sourcing point of contact to Technology, Solutions and Innovation Project Teams aligning Business Roadmaps. This role will report to Trystar’s Director of Sourcing, and will be based in Troy MI, Burnsville, MN, Faribault, or Houston, TX.

In this role you will get to:
  • Develop, execute, and monitor the Trystar sourcing strategy while enabling compliance, speed, urgency, flexibility.
  • Know and communicate sourcing risks early in the development cycle to drive mitigating designs and or focused Supplier Development.
  • Drive Supplier Evaluation, Selection, Development, Qualification, and Product Launch Ramp-up aligned with team milestones.
  • Identify potential new sources in Technologies where existing relationships do not yet exist.
  • Document and manage overall Project Sourcing Strategies
  • Report at each progressive Phase Gate.
  • Track and manage supplied component Quality, Supply Risk, Material Cost, Response / Lead Time, & Technology advancement for the full Device Bill of Material, (for both the new and legacy components).
  • Manage and coordinate all Sourcing Project Deliverables.
  • Implement, manage, and monitor contractual documents including Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Single Project Services Agreements (SPSAs), Research Agreements (RAs), etc., as applicable to ensure that these documents are current and cover key elements including IP protection, supply terms and conditions, and Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Support the set-up of funds, reconciliation of invoices, payments and run remittance reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance measures and continuous improvement of technical integration and externalization utilizing data analysis and visualization tools and platforms.
Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electromechanical or mechanical, OR 5 years of experience in a sourcing, project management, or product development role
  • 5 years of experience or collaborating in electrical and/or mechanical engineering roles
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Technical Sourcing or New Product Introduction experience
  • Knowledge with specific technologies to applicable categories
  • Lean Manufacturing experience or Six Sigma experience
  • Willingness to travel 15 – 20%

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of ISO Standards
  • PMI Certified
  • ISM Certified
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
