Job Title: Service Technician

Department: Facilities Install

Status: Full Time / Non - Exempt

Reports To: Service Manager

Location: Burnsville, MN

Essential Functions:

  • Promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously repair equipment at service center and at customer site.
  • Write up repair orders, possibly enter orders in computer and contacting customers to review repairs needed and/or provide repair estimates.
  • Respond to customer inquiries
  • Promote PM and service programs
  • Assist in parts control by advising of low stock items, keeping shelves and bins organized.
  • Keep vehicles neat, organized and assist with routine maintenance
  • Keep service department clean and organized
  • Provide daily feedback to Service Manager as to the status of opens service orders
  • Maintain superior level of accuracy while doing any work
  • Prepare and check over new equipment sold to customers for proper operation prior to delivery.
  • Review / check-in equipment returned from product demonstrations and / or rental.
  • Keep all business related issues confidential.
  • Maintain driver’s license with good record at all times
  • Some travel may be required as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Friendly & courteous demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical bulletins and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and sales department
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
  • Computer literacy at medium level
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Commitment to provide excellent customer service
  • Drivers license with good record
  • Detailed oriented
  • Basic AC & DC electrical knowledge
  • Must be able to frequently lift or move between 10 and 50 pounds
  • Frequently be able to sit, stand and squat
  • Basic troubleshooting with use of a multimeter
