Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the position in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry

  • Knowledge of measurement technology
  • Practical experience in quality management in the automotive supplier industry, as well as audit experience (VDA 6.3 process audit)

Objective of the position

  • Through the planning, processing, monitoring, and coordination of all quality-related activities in the product development phase tool-specific purchased parts should be of the required product quality, the required quantity and made available at the required date.

Main duties

  • Active implementation of the PGF Maturity Level Milestone system together with the project purchasing and review of the implementation measures at the suppliers site
  • Performance of process analysis and process improvements as regards quality and logistics processes at the supplier
  • Performance of the advanced quality planning for tool-specific purchased parts incl. status reporting
  • Support and critical accompaniment of the activities for the preparation and compilation of the documents for process and product release (PPAP/initial sampling) by the supplier
  • Evaluation and release of the documents for process and product release (PPAP/initial sampling according to VDA)
  • Use of modern quality assurance tools appropriate to the situation (8D assessments, Poka-Yoke workshops, etc.)
  • Support and/or critical accompaniment of the problem handling process at the suppliers
  • Care of suppliers/purchased parts:
  • Implementation of production test runs at the suppliers
  • Supplier visits in connection with samples
  • Contact with suppliers for fault correction for NOK diagnosis, coordination of corrective measures to be taken at key suppliers
  • Collection of statements from suppliers
  • Plausibility check of the 8D reports from suppliers with repeat failures
  • Proper documentation of processes, reports and documents
  • Advanced quality planning specialist for purchased parts in the SMP projects
  • The success of the activities of the SQA is a key building block in order to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Specialist for the supplier development of SMP key suppliers
  • Compliance with the prescribed procedures and instructions in the corporate policies
  • Ensuring a high level of supply quality by regular quality monitoring of purchased parts

Special responsibility

  • On the basis of the available supplier complaints should by definition, implementation and review of sustainability active measures be defined at the suppliers, which ensure an error-free supply.
  • The activity requires a high level of assertiveness, reliability, confidentiality, commitment and willingness to accept responsibility. A well-groomed appearance, acceptance inside and outside the company and willingness for self-development and ongoing training are required.
  • In addition, the task requires deployment at different locations and also requires a high degree of resilience, willingness to travel and decision-making abilities in cross-functional teams
