They will inspect and retouch painted products as needed, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate all paint processing equipment and perform color changes per job specification.
  • Prime, paint, and make touchups using power spray equipment and brushes.
  • Mix paints for accurate color, formula, viscosity, and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety procedures and 6S standards.
  • Inspect products before, during, and after the painting process to meet specifications.
  • Disassemble, clean repair, and reassemble painting equipment for proper operation.
  • Follow procedures for parts flow and associated paperwork.
  • Ensure proper masking and taping of areas not requiring painting.
  • Assist in cleaning paint boots and handling paint-related materials and hazardous waste properly.
  • Complete daily checklists, and perform additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor to meet the company needs.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months of industrial painting experience or completion of internal paint training program preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand checklists, paint codes, safety logs, JSA’s, SWI’s, etc.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs, use a ladder, and wear a paint respirator.
  • Proficiency in painting within a single assigned area
  • Must be able to work with solvents such as acetone, MAK, isopropanol alcohol isocyanates (catalysts/hardeners) and other paint related material.
Safety & Environmental Factors: All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
