The Site Superintendent will work on-site at a K-12 school construction project to lead, direct and coordinate the work of the contractors and project participants. You would be responsible for ensuring schedule compliance, safety, quality management, and adherence to the budget for the project. In addition, you are responsible for oversight of daily project operations and construction phase activities, including all field activities, to ensure the project is successfully completed.

Site Superintendent Responsibilities

  • Prepare installation schedules from demo to completion.
  • Ensure projects are within the project plan & specification scope.
  • Support team members on the design of projects.
  • Support team members in the bid process.
  • Ensure projects are on time and within schedule.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, daily log, request for proposals, and schedules.
  • Build a positive relationship with the Owners of the projects assigned.
  • Maintain up to date records of the projects during the addendums and modifications throughout the project.
  • Review monthly red line as-builts of each prime contractor to and take the lead to acquire red line as-builts at the end of the project from all prime contractors.
  • Participate in the design development process of assigned projects.
  • Assist the Project Management and Engineering teams with proposed systems, design, implementation, commissioning, and warranty phases.
  • Review the SitelogIQ SafetyIQ Manual and program and implement as required on the assigned projects.
  • Actively participate in sales pursuits and proposal development as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned

Site Superintendent Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of construction-related experience working for a general contractor or specialty contractor coordinating and supervising job site participants on projects ranging from $2M - $10M
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
  • Understanding and appreciation of construction safety processes and the ability to enforce project safety plan
  • Knowledge of and past success with Mechanical and Electrical systems
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • Knowledge of construction cost control procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Either hold or obtain OSHA30 certification (at our expense) within one year
  • Valid driver’s license
  • PA Department of Education Federal and State Background Clearances required
