We are seeking a QA Manager (E-commerce) for a remote, full-time, and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners.


This experienced Software QA Manager will lead the quality assurance efforts, and will directly impact the success of this high-scale ecommerce platform. You should be passionate about delivering high-quality software that enhances the lives of the users and you will play a critical role in ensuring the platform is reliable, user-friendly, and meets the highest standards of excellence. You will be pivotal in shaping their product strategy and they are looking for a data-driven problem solver that strives for impact, scalability, and simplicity.


Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy and build foundational processes and practices that will enable you to eventually build, manage, and mentor a high-performing QA team.
  • You will be the face and advocate for a best practices SDLC that produces reliable sustainable team practices and fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation across all engineering teams.
  • Design and execute test plans for functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing, and then oversee the development and maintenance of automated test suites to ensure comprehensive test coverage across all products and features.
  • Establish and enforce clear, concise documentation standards for software development, test cases, bug reports, and QA processes to maintain up-to-date knowledge bases and documentation for internal and external use.
  • Make sure that QA processes are integrated into the entire software development lifecycle, and manage the CI/CD workflow for creating and promoting software releases.
  • Work with Product Management to track and report on key QA metrics and identify areas for improvement by providing actionable insights to help effectively manage software and QA resources, timelines, and budgets for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Establish rigorous release criteria and processes to minimize defects and ensure smooth deployments but implementing best practices for code quality and maintainability.
  • Maintain cross-functional partnerships with engineering, product management, customer support, and other teams to promote a commitment to quality.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management role with a track record of building and leading successful QA teams.
  • Extensive experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Experience in project management and issue tracking tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium or Cypress.
  • Experience in e-commerce or healthcare is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and compliance standards like WCAG and HIPAA is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
