Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow designated routes and ensure merchandise is delivered in a timely manner
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, load sheets within appropriate time frames
  • Load and unload merchandise using a forklift when necessary
  • Report all vehicle-related issues urgently

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have a valid and unrestricted Class A CDL License
  • A clean driving record is required – A DMV background check will be performed
  • Must have a current DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be Registered or able to register with the Clearing House
  • HazMat Certification preferred but not mandatory (will need to attain if hired)
  • Ability to comply with all DOT regulations (daily vehicle inspections, daily trip logbook, etc.)
  • Capable of passing a background check and a drug screen
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store team
  • Ability to operate motorized forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to load/unload the delivery vehicle
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to changes in schedule
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. often – warehouse duties required as needed
  • Frequently able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, overhead reach, lift, grip and carry to move product about the store or for customers.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with all personality types
  • Basic computer skills and math skills
  • High school diploma or comparable certification (GED)
  • Bilingual skills a plus, but not required (Spanish/English)
