Home Care Biller/Scheduler - Michigan Home Help CHAMPS Program Specialist

Proactive Home Care is a leading home care agency dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in need throughout Michigan. We are committed to excellence in client care and pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Biller/Scheduler with expertise in the Michigan Home Help CHAMPS program and EVV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adding patient information into CHAMPS, along with proficiency in billing and scheduling for a Home Care Agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in the Michigan Home Help CHAMPS program to accurately input patient information and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Manage billing processes efficiently, including generating invoices, verifying accuracy of billing information, and addressing any billing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate scheduling of home care services for clients, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to client preferences and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of client appointments, caregiver assignments, and any changes in scheduling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any billing or scheduling issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in the Michigan Home Help CHAMPS program, incorporating new requirements into daily operations as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with the Michigan Home Help CHAMPS program, including proficiency in adding patient information into CHAMPS.
  • Previous experience in billing and scheduling within a Home Care Agency setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and CHAMPS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid billing regulations and procedures is a plus.
