The Deputy Director assists in directing department-wide operations in multiple complex functional or programmatic areas. At the direction and discretion of the Director, directs the various and designated operations, staff and functions. Provides executive-level leadership, oversight and direction in all planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating operations in accordance with state, federal and local laws, policies and procedures, and guidelines. Provides strategic and tactical direction to supervisors to accomplish goals and objectives and improve effectiveness and efficiency of services. The Deputy Director has a broad scope of operational and staff responsibility and oversite.


The individual, who reports directly to the director, must maintain professional conduct, appearance, and confidentiality of information.
