Our client is looking for an attorney to join a rising real estate-focused legal business. We are a boutique real estate business that assists our customers with contract negotiations, partnership and joint venture formation, real estate acquisition and development, and real estate-related dispute resolution

The ideal applicant will be a self-starter who wants to expand their personal book of business while also providing transaction and litigation support. A candidate must have 1-3 years of real estate legal experience and will work on a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchases and dispositions, financing, title work, commercial leasing, land use and zoning, condominium concerns, and litigation. Candidates should be able to arrange and monitor real estate deals from start to finish alone, but will request support as needed. Experience with multifamily transactions is desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft operating and joint venture agreements with investors and partners.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements.
  • Review and negotiate finance contracts with lenders.
  • Review title obligations and surveys.
  • Oversee fundamental land-use and zoning concerns.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases.
  • Handle real estate lawsuit concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Desire to grow with the company and establish a personal book of business.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of transactional or litigation commercial real estate experience.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work alone and in a collaborative setting.
  • licensed to practice in Ohio
  • Strong writing, research, and organizing abilities.
