The Administrative Technician I will provide accounting/ fiscal support for assigned area of responsibility. The class is responsible for entering data, updating and maintaining ledgers, journals, and files; and performing various fiscal functions and calculations. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS:· Count in vault daily and prepare for deposit.· Coordinates payroll for area of responsibility; Reviews and corrects time sheets and time adjustment forms.· Performs various accounting functions such as preparing payroll, accounts receivable, bank deposits, petty cash, and/ or vacation and leave information.· Prepares and processes invoices, reports, purchase orders, p-cards, receipts, fuel reports and other financial statements as directed.· Reconciles and researches invoices and statements.· Organizes, files, and data entry of receipts, deposits of revenue and expenditure funds into the accounting system, including invoices, deposits slips, vouchers, forms and statements.· Performs routine office tasks such as data entry, typing correspondence, filing, faxing, telephoning, and photocopying.· Assist with daily accounting functions such as data entry, balancing receipts and ledgers, cash handling/counting, recording payments and budget preparation.· Assist with passenger ID cards as needed· Assists staff with preparation of JARC reports.· Assists with issuing fuel keys to staff and various other departments and reconciles fuel reports.· Performs related tasks or other duties as necessary.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:· Requires high school diploma or GED and formal training, special courses, or self-education equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in accounting, or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:· Requires a minimum of one year of work related experience.SPECIAL CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES:· Valid Texas Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:Ability to exert up to 35-50 lbs. of force occasionally or a negligible amount of energy frequently to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Performs medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping, jumping, stretching, or lifting all of the time and involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or exceptional skill, adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers, hands, or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy. Work is primarily performed outside with exposure to dangerous tools, equipment, machinery, inclement weather conductions, noise and fumes.
