Purpose of position: To maintain inventory already on the shelf, new parts coming in as well as parts going out.

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation).

  • Fulfills pick tickets for work orders or sales and processes any incoming inventory.
  • Catalogues and shelves parts returned to inventory.
  • Maintains inventory shelves.
  • Fulfills inventory pick tickets and clears each out in a timely manner.
  • Processes new inventory.
  • Coordinates and processes new inventory and reworked parts in their corresponding location.
  • Makes sure all incoming inventory is put away or issued to the correct work order before the end of the day.
  • Makes sure what leaves the inventory cage has been accounted for.
  • Processes SAC work projects physically and through the ERP system
  • Maintains and completes kits.
  • Fulfills kits that drop below minimum limits.
  • Maintains kits waiting on inventory to arrive.
  • Orders parts required to build kits.
  • Builds required kits in a timely manner to maintain stock levels.
  • Ensures all kits have the correct amount and part types.
  • Requests purchase of parts that are low or not in stock.
  • Moves inventory as necessary using a forklift.
  • Maintains a clean/safe workspace free from spills or obstructions which may lead to harm.
  • Performs cycle counts as required.
  • Travels as required.
  • Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, production methods, and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and promote improvement.
  • Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
  • Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. safety glasses, ear plugs, face shields, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors.

  • Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.

  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be proficient in company-specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, and rates and interpret graphs.
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally.
  • Must be able to see within the normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to hear running machinery.
  • Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.
  • Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination.
  • Must regularly be able to reach overhead.
  • Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, and stand.
  • Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally.
  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of inventory or distribution experience required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing and or MRO environment a plus.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Work conditions:

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.
