Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect
Location: NYC, NY
Schedule: 3 Days Hybrid from Day 1
Experience Level: 17+ years
Type: Open for FTE/Contract

Important Pointers:

  • Strong SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) background required.
  • Recent 8-10+ years of experience in Infrastructure background.
  • Expertise in DevOps tools like Terraform, Docker, Containers, etc., and SRE.
  • Proficient in AWS services such as AWS VPC Networking, AWS Control Panel, Landing Zone, etc.
  • Ability to migrate on-premises infrastructure services to AWS.
  • Skilled in creating automation templates for reusability using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Expert understanding of various AWS storage services and their use cases.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced cloud implementation experience using compute, storage, networking, and security services, along with cloud-native best practices on AWS.
  • Proven background working in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Design capabilities aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Proficiency in EC2, Unix/Linux, User Data, Ansible.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Serverless.
  • Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Networking and Security principles.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Proficiency in Python, Docker.
  • Experience collaborating with Infrastructure and Application teams.
  • Self-disciplined, self-starter with leadership qualities and ability to mentor others.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and CI/CD best practices.
  • Azure experience is not required but considered a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying customers' applications to cloud infrastructure while adhering to security and cloud computing best practices.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code tools to automate immutable infrastructure.
  • Manage, configure, administer, and maintain AWS services.
  • Provide guidance to Application and Business teams on infrastructure design decisions.
  • Collaborate with various technical teams on escalations and development of cloud and managed services.
  • Drive process improvement within the DevOps team with Enterprise IT cloud management capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for threat management and critical upgrades.
  • Utilize enterprise SaaS products to align with business technology needs.
  • Continuously learn to keep up with industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional global and remote teams.
