Who You Are
We're looking for a dynamic educator to challenge and inspire our students. You could be a good fit if you:
- Develop and implement engaging, diverse, and inclusive history curricula, emphasizing historical thinking, inquiry, and literacy.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that encourages student autonomy, interaction, inquiry, and learning.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies, maintaining a well-organized and positive classroom environment.
- Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons to ensure understanding and advancement.
- Keep detailed records of students' progress and provide regular communication to parents and guardians.
- Passion for history and teaching middle and upper school students.
Who We Are
While each employee at Episcopal brings a unique set of competencies and skills to their work, we believe all employees should:
- Be student-centered, embrace school and life, and show it through actions and interactions with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Embody and live The Stripes.
- Consistently maintain high standards for their work and motivate others to achieve the same standard of excellence.
- Demonstrate a desire and willingness to constantly grow and learn, both personally and professionally, and see others - especially students - as having the ability to learn and reach success.
- Foster a positive culture by being optimistic, selfless, flexible, and collaborative.
- Demonstrate a belief in and commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse school community.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, current resume, and list of three references as pdf documents.
